Hi! My name is Nils, and I love storytelling through sound. I am always listening for inspiring sounds to record and work with. Evoking emotions and creating unforgettable experiences for the audience is my passion.

I specialise in Sound Design for Cinema and believe in the bigger picture. To achieve an extraordinary cinematic experience, I find it essential to begin the creative sound process as early as possible—preferably while the script is still being written—and to work closely alongside the picture editor. I am always looking for imaginative ways to support a creative vision in a collaborative environment.

I started my film sound journey in 2015, working on international film sets. In 2018, I expanded into post-production, excited to tell stories through sound. From 2019 to 2021, I further advanced my craft by studying Sound Design and Screenwriting in Edinburgh, Scotland. I then moved back home to Berlin and have since been working as a freelance Sound Designer on various projects from all over the world.

In 2025, I celebrated my 10th year in the industry, and I continue to grow through recent residencies in Copenhagen and Los Angeles.
